Suddenly N-Vi

We begin in Ceramic Street [Rua Ceramica] which is rather pleasing. Wandering through the countryside - we are on a bus route. Apparently it is most used between 9pm and 12 midnight. There are about five buses in each direction a day. We will rise up about 60m today.

 Can I say I really go for the opening shot on the website - a glorious sea shape with the caption ‘Sea the difference.’ What do they do? I hear you ask. ‘We fish, cultivate, process, elaborate and commercialise seafood products with the highest quality, under an integrated and sustainable model.’ they reply. They have offices in the UK. Among the things they do is fish Cuttlefish, Squid, Giant Squid, Illex Squid, Octopus, Shrimp, Hake, Butterfish, Shrimp and Lobster in the waters of Morocco, USA and Argentina. At the time of writing the last news story was on 6th June 2023 and informs us ‘’The president of the Galician Regional Government visits Profand Vilagarcía’

In my case, they valued a car at 5,000-5,500 euros whose market value (which obviously won't give you any purchase or sale) was around 12,000. I turned around when I considered that they were laughing at me. There are better alternatives.’ 6 days


We are turning off the main road and heading up the DP-0811 and into tomorrow.

We cross the Rio Porma and into Villarente and Puente Villarente. Cows are important, rain is ubiquitous

  We are descending into the route to the coast. It is the point of all this wandering.  It is a bit British in terms of small lanes and odd turns,  We are on one of many of the camino routes for a bit of this.  We will pass one of the many tiny bus shelters on these lanes. I think I got a clue as to the weather when walking into a cafe in Gijon and noticed an umbrella stand.  Gijon gets 955mm of rain a year.  Santiago gets 1855mm.  London only gets 557mm. We will pass nearby Iglesia de San Juan de Castromaior.   I honour Pablo Pardo Lamela who gives it five stars for the reason ‘ Because I live here’.  The church was built in the 16th century on the site of an old fort. It has an 18th century baroque altarpiece.  We are now in Lugo province.  Apparently these devout Christians remember the Celtic god Lugh in this name.
