Across the M-30 we go and into the Calle de Lira.  We are going to a Vegan restaurant.  Once such a thing would have been heard of. Now it exists although the veggie option is still a bit rarer out in the provinces.  Cookaluzka is LGBTQ+ friendly, woman owned and opens 9am - 5pm, 8-11pm Tuesday to Friday, 12.30-5pm and 8-11pm on Friday and Saturday and 12.30-5 on Sunday.  It gets 4.7 stars from 1711 reviews. We are making our way to the Retiro. To get there we are going to skirt a little to the east. This will mean a bit of wandering round the Manzanares, which divides the park we ended in yesterday/  Luckily a cyclist has been along the tracks we will follow, which will take us round the A-40 / M-40 junction. Welcome to Getafe.  What has made Getafe a worldwide name across the world - in footballing circles.  Getafe Club de Futbol.  Some clubs play attack passed, free flowing soccer, which zings with glamour and joy.  Getafe play the other sort. The sort that if you are not very wealthy involves grinding down the opposition and then nicking a victory. It seems to work. They have remained in the First Division since they entered it in 2004 and this year they will appear in the European Conference League, taking on the likes of Brighton, Atlanta and Freiburg.  They enter in the Play Off Rounds on 20th / 27th August - and if I remember, I will tell you how they got on.   We are advancing into Madrid. I have to begin with an apology.  We are not going through Fuenlabrada and Leganes.
